Covington, Washington (January 13, 2016) – Seattle Met Magazine names renowned Kent DUI attorney Kim Hunter one of Washington State’s top women lawyers in an article in the December 2015 issue of their magazine. The Seattle Met Magazine is a trusted source of information both for longtime residents and newcomers, covering politics, dining, travel, arts, fashion, and more. This follows on the heels of her being named as a Super Lawyer earlier this year by SuperLawyers.com, a very prestigious rating service in the legal industry that selects attorneys from firms in over 70 practice areas throughout the United States and London.
Kim Hunter was also named a Washington Rising Star in 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 by Super Lawyers. She was also awarded the Washington State Bar Association’s Pro Bono Award in 2004 and every year since. Ms. Hunter said: “It is so great to be recognized for the work I do every day for my clients. I always strive to do my best work for them in order to achieve the best possible outcome in their cases. I’m honored that it has resulted in this recognition as well as benefiting my clients.”
Before becoming a known DUI defense lawyer in South King County areas like Kent, Ms. Hunter graduated from the prestigious Gonzaga University School of Law. She then worked as an associate attorney with Tucker and Stein, P.S. where she handled private criminal defense cases and served as the Public Defender for the City of Bellevue and the City of Redmond. Eventually, Ms. Hunter decided to open her private practice with an emphasis on criminal defense work and a special interest in domestic violence and DUI cases.
Ms. Hunter is a member of the Washington State Bar Association and the King County bar Association. She also serves on the board for the Criminal Law Section of the Washington State Bar Association.
